Choosing Your Battles

Text : 2 Chronoicles 20 vs 1. After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites[a]came to wage war against Jehoshaphat.

There are some many battles in life – Battles of the mind, physical & spiritual battle.

A – We make choices on who we need to marry, place we want to go , cloth that we need to put on.. but choosing life battles is not what any of us want – we don’t want to make any choice at all.

  • Genesis 29. Jacob’s uncle, Laban, had two daughters. Leah & Rachel (Genesis 29:16-17).
  • Jacob made an agreement to serve Laban seven years for the opportunity to marry Rachel.
  • Laban responded that it was not the custom to give the younger daughter away in marriage before the older daughter. Genesis 29:26-27).

B—Most of the time –God does not tell us how much is when God shows us where He is taking us

God told Abrham… Genesis 12 – Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

C- We have Choice – We may not have all the choice to choose our battles, But one thing that I have seen over and over again in the bible is that WE have Choice whether we want to be defeated or not.
